The second trailer for GTA 6 dropped even more information for the game, and if you blinked, you probably missed half of it. From the characters to full-on bank heists, this trailer gave us clearer picture than the first trailer. It shows what the game is actually going to be like. Here's a full GTA 6 Trailer 2 breakdown, covering everything worth knowing.
GTA 6 Trailer 2 Breakdown
Deeper Information for the Main Characters
The story follows Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, and right away you can tell these two are in for a wild ride.
Jason grew up around criminals, joined the US Army to try to get his life straight, and ended up doing jobs for a drug runner in the Florida Keys. His last name, Duval, is actually a nod to Duval Street in Key West, which is a real major street in Florida. He's seen wearing 29 different outfits throughout the trailer, and he owns an iFruit phone.

Lucia is from Liberty City and was taught to fight basically from the time she could walk. She got locked up in Leonida Penitentiary for defending her family, and Jason is the one who picks her up when she gets out. Her last name, Caminos, is Spanish for "roads" or "paths," which fits perfectly with the story. She's seen in at least 26 outfits, including that gold dress from Trailer 1.

These two protagonists are clearly the heart of the game, and the trailer makes it obvious that their relationship is a big part of the story.
The Supporting Cast
GTA 6 has a solid lineup of side characters, and each one adds something to the story.
- Cal Hampton is Jason's buddy who feels safest at home drinking beers and listening to Coast Guard comms. He's loyal but isn't exactly the ambitious type.
- Brian Heder is the older drug smuggler who lets Jason live rent-free in exchange for doing dirty work, and his wife Lori even has Brian's name tattooed on her chest.
- Boobie Ike is a Vice City legend who tur ned street life into a real business like real estate, a strip club called the Jack of Hearts, and a recording studio. He's partnered with Dre'Quan Priest, a music hustler who runs Only Raw Records and signed rap duo Real Dimez (Bae-Luxe and Roxy).
- Then there's Raul Bautista, a seasoned bank robber who pulls Jason and Lucia into high-risk heists. He's the one leading the Sinfrontera National Bank robbery you see in the trailer.

Character Tattoos
One thing GTA 6 does really well is hide lore in plain sight, and the character tattoos are a perfect example of that.
Jason has a Marauders tattoo on his shoulder. This one fits his Army background.

He also has an eagle tattoo on his right torso, that looks like it is being shot by an arrow. This is a reference to an ancient Greek fable, that is actually a symbol of someone being hurt by their own kind.

Cal Hampton has a tattoo of Piggsy from Manhunt on his right leg, which is a fun Rockstar Easter egg.

Dre'Quan has a "Stay Humble" tattoo and a money bag on his right arm — matching one that Boobie Ike also has — showing the bond between them. On his left hand, it reads "Win some, lose some," which honestly says a lot about his character.

The Story So Far
Based on what the trailer shows, here's how the plot seems to go:
Jason lives in a stilt house in Key Lento, built above water to survive hurricanes, and it even has a slip for boats and a pet snake in a terrarium inside.

He does jobs for Brian, like collecting protection money from local businesses, loading drug planes at the marina, and dealing with confrontations at the Rusty Anchor bar.

After picking Lucia up from prison, Lucia does community service with an ankle monitor while staying at Jason's place. Things go sideways when Brian tells Jason that unknown people have his full name and address, forcing him and Lucia to run.

They then head to Port Gellhorn, hide out at the Starlet Motel, and start robbing local businesses like Hank's Waffles and Uncle Jack's Liquor just to survive. Eventually, they make their way to Vice City, where they link up with Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan, and Raul, pulling off bigger and bigger jobs.

The Vice City missions get much bigger. You'll see Jason and Lucia on a yacht near the Venetian Islands, dancing at the NINE1NINE club, and pulling off a full bank heist at Sinfrontera National Bank in Downtown Vice City.

Lucia even blasts police cars with a Grenade Launcher from a damaged bus. There's also a wild scene where Jason and Lucia drag a safe behind a pickup truck.

The game also takes you through the Grassrivers region, where Jason chases an airboat in a Buzzard Attack Chopper while Brian operates the door gun, and through rural areas in Brian's truck.

Weapons and Combat
The weapon system in GTA 6 looks more detailed than anything in the series before. It's built on Red Dead Redemption 2's system but pushed much further.

Tech Details: Phones, Watches, and More
One thing that stood out in the GTA 6 trailer 2 is how advanced the in-game technology looks. The phones in the game have a design mix of Samsung and iPhone styles, and the Snapmatic app has been fully redesigned with a TikTok/Instagram-style bottom tab bar. You can also see apps like Messages, Contacts, and what looks like an email or LifeInvader app on screen.

Smartwatches are now dynamic, they light up based on motion sensors and actually show the correct in-game time. One NPC's watch lights up the moment Jason walks past her.

Cars also have Tesla-style multimedia screens, which were spotted next to Raul in one screenshot and were already being tested in the 2022 leaked footage.

The World Feels Truly Alive
One of the biggest things GTA 6 trailer 2 shows is just how detailed the open world is. Animals are literally everywhere. You will spot iguanas, bobcats, panthers, wild hogs, foxes, raccoons, stingrays, eels, and snakes. There are also domestic animals like Rottweilers and German Shepherds walking around.

The world apparently, also reacts to weather. A Hurricane Roxy waterline marker is shown in the trailer, with the text reading, "Hurricane Roxy Was This Strong," and the line sits above neck level for an average person.

In Ambrosia, there's even a mayoral campaign in progress. A politician named Erin Henshaw is running with slogans like, "Finally a politician with ba*ls," backed by a local sugar refinery company called Allied Crystal. It's the kind of detail that makes the world feel like it has its own politics going on without you being involved.
Every Brand Spotted in the Game
This is one of the most fun parts of any GTA game: Where you can spot real-world brand parodies hidden everywhere. GTA 6 has a huge list, and the trailer already shows a ton of them. Here's everything confirmed so far:
